My fascination with dunes continues. We spent three days at Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve in southern Colorado. The beauty of the dunes and the mountains in the background is magnificent. My strong preference is to create an abstract, or as Ansel Adams preferred to say, an "extract", when faced with geomorphic features such as sand dunes. This image was captured during early morning hours when sun angle was low and we were alone on the dunes. I enjoy the contrast of angles as well as the contrast of light. Once again one can easily see forms in the dunes similar to the human body.
